Pre-stretch film is a type of stretch wrap film that has been stretched near its breaking point and then wound onto rolls. The film is typically pre-stretched to approximately 90% at the factory, which is why pre-stretched film has thinner gauges than traditional film.
It’s a derivative of the traditional manual stretch film or machine stretch film. A characteristic feature of the product is the method of its production and thickness. The film is initially stretched at the production stage, even up to 400%. As a result, pre-stretch is much thinner than the classic stretch film, but has similar strength parameters.
Pre-stretch films are used in the manual securing of low and medium-weight loads of various shapes. They can also be used on automatic wrappers with the pre-stretch wrapping system.
